Saturday we finally spread my folk’s ashes at sea. “We” being my two sisters and one of my brothers (and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law too). We sailed out from San Pedro “Port’s O’ Call” for about 30 min, then proceeded in a counter-clockwise circle to “stop the hands of time” and then after allowing each of us to say a few words, we did the deed. First with Mom and then with Dad. Then the ships bell was rang 8 times signifying end of watch. Then we sailed clockwise to restart time again and sailed back.
All in all it was good.
