So the county where I live hosted this “home electronics recycling” thing at the local fire station where they take all your old computer stuff for free. As you can imagine, I have a lot of crap that my wife would just as soon I recycled… and anywhere other than in my garage.

So I loaded up the HP J210XC and the BA-350 arrays and the 10base-T hubs and assorted other gunk and took off.

Now it was raining like hell, and as I pull up I see its a drive-thru type thing and there’s all these short Asain guys all in hooded sweatshirts who were clearly from whatever operation the county subcontracted this gig out to. All at once they decended on my car, I barely had it shut off and they started unloading it. All the while they were chattering in whatever native language they spoke and suddenly, as they carried away the 110 lb. J210, I realized…

They were Jawas!

Somewhere there’s a farmer’s nephew cleaning up an HP J210…
